Our Angel (Part : 11)

Nandini woke up in the afternoon after sleeping for five hours. She opened her eyes, stretching her arms. A beautiful smile spread across her face, seeing her hubby who was doing his work and also taking care of angel like a perfect father. He was operating the laptop with his one hand and holding angel in his other hand over his shoulder. She was sleeping. He had kept her in the crib two three times but she was crying to come in her daddy arms every time. So that’s why he was working, holding angel in his arm.

“Before he was a perfect hubby and now he is a perfect daddy too.” She thought, staring at him fondly.

“Haye.., I love him so much.” Nandini mumbled to herself before climbing down from the bed.

As she picked up her phone, she freaked out, seeing the time.

“Hubby, I was sleeping from six hours and you didn’t wake me up.” She complained, walking toward him.

“I’ve to feed angel after every three hours, did you forget?” She asked incredulously, sitting beside him.

She took angel from Manik and cradled her close her heart. “I’m sorry, my doll. Mumma didn’t feed you on time.” She leaned down and placed few kisses on her forehead.

Manik was just beaming, seeing her care for angel. His baby was becoming responsible, and he was gratified to see this. Earlier, he was thinking wrong that Nandini would not be able to take care of their child. He realised that he was so wrong.

“Mumma will feed you now.” She was about to open her shirt button but Manik stopped her, holding her hand.

“Relax, baby. I’ve fed her.”

She looked at him, widening her eyes. “How ?” She asked bemusedly.

“From this.” He picked up angel’s tiny bottle from the table and showed to her.

“She’s so small.” She said, moving her eyes toward angel. “Can we feed angel outside milk ?” She asked, looking at bottle and then again moved her eyes to Manik.

“Yes. I had consulted doctor before feeding her. We can feed angel outside milk sometime. There’s no problem in it.” She sighed with relief as he told her.

He clasped her face and moved closer to her. “I love you, baby.” He kissed her lips softly.

“Did you sleep well?” He asked concernedly after pulling away from her. He was caressing her hair. She smiled and nodded her head.

“You get fresh. I’ve surprise for you.” Her eyes sparked with excitement as he told her about the surprise. She loved surprises.

“Wow, surprise.” She squealed with excitement. She calmed down herself after seeing angel who was sleeping. “I love surprises.” She whispered and kissed his cheek. Manik was just smiling, looking at her.

She stood up from sofa and went toward crib, holding angel. She gently placed her in the crib. She leaned down. “Angel, what’s the surprise, did daddy tell you ?” She moved close to her ear and asked in low voice.

She chuckled and kissed her forehead. “Mumma is just coming.” She went to bathroom to get fresh after last time glancing at Manik.

Nandini was sitting on the bed and her eyes were closed. She was excitedly waiting for Manik to bring the surprise. She was having no clue that what would be the surprise and this was making her even more excited.

Angel was still sleeping peacefully in her crib. She was giving some private time to her parents by sleeping. She was a good girl but sometime became naughty.

Manik put something on the bed and sat in front of her. “Now you can open your eyes.” He permitted Nandini to open her eyes and she instantly opened her eyes.

As she opened her eyes, her eyes started shining with the happiness and she was flabbergasted. “Wow hubby, Momos.” She jumped over Manik and hugged him tightly, wrapping her arms around his neck. He smiled broadly, hugging her back. He had expected her this reaction only.

“I love you.” She broke the hug to kiss his cheek and then hugged him back tightly.

The surprise was her most favourite Momos which was kept in the plate with red sauce.

“You know, hubby. Today only, I saw Momos in my dream.” She told him after breaking the hug.

“I know.” He said instantly, nodding his head.

She looked at him, narrowing her eyes. “How do you know? It was my dream.” She asked incredulously.

“Because in sleep you were saying, you want to eat momos. That’s why I made momos for you. The Special Atta momos with the paneer stuffing. This is healthy and very very tasty.” He made his baby eat the momos with his hand.

She was beaming ear to ear, looking at him lovingly. She was just gobsmacked like always, seeing his love. She was overwhelmed.

Her eyes brimmed with tears. “I love you.” She whispered after eating one momos and a lone tear trickled down from her eyes.

“Hey, why are you crying?” He instantly wiped her tear with his thumb.

“Your love made me emotional. I’m so lucky to have you.” She told him the reason of her tears, smiling blissfully.

He too smiled and kissed her forehead. “You are a pure soul, baby. You deserve my all love.” He whispered, touching his forehead with her.

After that she started eating momos, licking her lips and sucking sauce from her fingers. “Uhmm.., these are so yummy.” She showed him her hand, making circle with her forefinger and thumb.

He was just smiling at her.

“You’re my Master Chef, hubby.” She complimented him and he chuckled.

After that angel started crying, saying them indirectly. “It is enough of your private time. Now your angel wants both of your attention, Mumma daddy.”

“I’ll see her. You eat.” He crawled toward the angel’s crib which was kept on the other side of bed.

“Hey, my angel, why’re you crying? Are you feeling hungry?” He asked, tapping her nose with his forefinger, lying on his front on bed.

She took her tiny tongue out in response, telling him indirectly that she was hungry.

“Oh, my cutie pie.” He came over her face and caressed his nose against her tiny nose.

“Let mumma eat and then she’ll feed you.” He sat on the bed, cradling her close to his heart.

Nandini was enjoying eating the Momos after such a long time. “Angel, your daddy is Master chef. Whatever you say, your father will make it for you.”

“Anything for you and our angel. I can do anything for both of you. You both are my world. I’m nothing without you both.” She gave him flying kiss in response because she was sitting away from him. He chuckled, catching her kiss. Angel was smiling too in her daddy’s arms. She was so blessed to get the parents like Manan.
