Ahana (Part: 14 Confused Ahana)

After a week

It has been a week passed since Ahana came to my house. I sleep on the couch in her room every night. She cries in sleep every night, but her condition is getting better. She smiles and laughs with us now. When sometimes she behaves like a cutie baby, I fall in love with her more. She shows tantrums like a baby while eating. I’m really enjoying the time which I’m spending with Ahana, but controlling my urge to touch her and kiss her is becoming really difficult with our growing closeness. But I’m relieved now because she is happy now. I just only wish for her happiness every day because I love her truly. I really want her to stay with me till my last breath but most important is her happiness, I want her to live happily in future and I can do anything for her happiness.

On the other hand, Sameer calls me every day to ask me about Ahana’s condition. One day he asked me to send her photos also. I can’t even imagine his condition that how he is living without his wife.

Ahana has been trying to bake the cake from an hour but she is not able to make it. She’s getting frustrated now. I’m trying to help her by watching the video on YouTube.

“Why I’m not able to make it?” She looked at me and asked me, disheartened and bemused.

I took the whisker from her hand and kept in the bowl. I turned her towards me by holding her shoulder. She gazed at me dejectedly.

I clasped her face. “Relax, Ahana, perhaps you forgot how to make it.”

“I loved to bake the cake, Riyan. But now I’m frustrated because I’m not able to make it. I don’t know why this is happening.” She looked at me with a gloomy expression, confused and depressed.

“Do you even remember last time when did you make it?” As I asked, she shook her head.

“He didn’t let me make the cake. He didn’t let me do anything. He was Satan.” She became more depressed as she told me about his imaginary husband and her eyes brimmed with tears.

“Don’t think about it, Ahana. It was your bad past. Now everything is fine. He is not with you now, you’re free.” I’m caressing her cheeks with my thumb gently to make her relax.

“You’re right. I shouldn’t think about it.”

I smiled. “That’s like my good girl.” I pulled her cheeks, she chuckled softly.

“Now I’m hungry. What I should prepare for dinner?” She raised her eyebrows.

“Whatever you want and I’m sending a maid to help you.”

“Where are you going?” She asked instantly.

“I have to make an important call,” I answered and walked out from the kitchen.

I asked one of the maids to help Ahana in the kitchen and then came to my room. I locked the room before calling Sameer.

I stepped into the balcony, placing the phone over my ear.

“Hi,” Sameer answered my call.

“Hi, Sameer. How’re you?” I stood leaning against the railing and placed my elbow over it.

“I’m fine. You tell me how is Anaya.”

“She’s fine. Actually, I want to ask something about her. Does Anaya know how to make the cake?” I asked.

“No, Anaya hates baking, but Ahana in that book, she loves baking cake.” As Sameer told me, I understood everything.

Now everything is making sense. She thinks she is Ahana who loves baking cake, but in reality, she is Anaya who doesn’t even know how to make it. That’s why she wasn’t able to make the cake today.

“Sameer, could you tell me, what Anaya likes to do? What are her hobbies?” I asked.

“She loves to play piano. Her mom taught her in childhood. She has also fond of photography.” Sameer told me about her excitedly. He loves her so much.

I disconnected the call after talking to him for a few minutes more. Next day only I ordered a Piano for her.

“Ahana, come with me. I want to show you something.” I led her to the room to show her piano.

Her eyes glinted with the excitement as she saw it.

“You know, I love to play it.” I sat on the bench which is kept in front of it. I played it very terribly because I’ve never played it before.

“Riyan, you’re hurting my ears. Stop playing it.” She screamed, closing her ears and I instantly stopped playing it.

“Do you know how to play?” I asked.

She shook her head. “No.”

“But you should try, come.” I held her hand and made her sit beside me. My heartbeat is accelerating because she is sitting so close to me. The exquisite sent of her body is driving me crazy.

She placed her fingers on the keys and her fingers automatically started playing it so melodiously. She plays really well. She is utterly lost in playing the piano and I’m gazing at her fondly.

After a minute, she suddenly stopped and she was looking baffled. “How did I play it so well?” She murmured to herself, staring at the Piano bemusedly.

“You haven’t played it before?” As I asked, she looked at me and shook her head.

“Never, but I feel like I have been playing this from ages. I don’t know, what’s it? Why I’m feeling like it? The thing which I like, I’m not able to do it and the thing which I’ve never done before, I’m doing it perfectly. This is so confusing. What is happening to me, Riyan?” She asked me, puzzled.

“Don’t think too much. Hobbies change with time. You can now play the piano if you’re liking it and I must say, you played it so well. Play it again.”

As I asked her to play the piano again, she instantly stood and shrieked. “No, I don’t want to play. I’m not feeling good here. Please, let’s go from here.”

Maybe she’s remembering the things and therefore she is behaving like this.

I stood up and asked. “What happened to you, Ahana? Tell me.”

“Can we please go back to the room and talk?” She asked, putting her hand on her forehead, tensed.

I should take her to the room. It is enough for today.

“Okay. Let’s go from here.” I held her and led her to her room.

Am I doing right to make her remember about her past? I wondered.
