Part: 66 Good News

Next morning, two love birds were sleeping peacefully in each other arms on the terrace after three days which were like ages for them. The weather was cloudy and the sun was trying to peep out from behind the clouds. Shehnaaz woke up and a smile touched her lips as she saw her husband, Mr Perfect. He was sleeping peacefully, wrapping her in his arms. She felt so safe in his arms.

“I’m really blessed to have a person like him in my life. He understands me always and loves me unconditionally. He loves babies and to protect me, he kills his own baby. I don’t know why I was blaming him. He’s such a nice person, I don’t know why God did this to him.” She was wondering, gazing at him with her eyes filled with tears. She is upset.

She rested her head on his chest and cried becoming hysterically. “Baby, will you come back to us, for you daddy and for you Mumma?” She wasn’t aware that almighty was listening to her wish and, he was going to fulfil her this wish very soon. Their baby was going to come to them very soon.

He also aroused from his deep slumber as he heard his Angel’s sobs.

“Angel, are you crying?” As she heard him, she instantly stopped crying.

“No, I’m not crying.” She wiped her tears and raised her head from his chest to look at him. “I’m fine.” She plastered a smile on her face, her eyes were brimming with tears.

“Don’t lie to me.” Her eyelashes moved down as he caught her.

“I can understand, I’m going through the same pain. You can cry your heart aloud in my arms.” He placed his hand on her face.

She gazed at him with her sorrowful eyes, a lone tear trickled down her cheek. “We were so excited to hold… to hold our baby. I was counting every minute, and now I don’t know, how long we have to wait for our baby. I don’t know when I’ll able to give birth to the baby and you’re suffering with me because of my problem,” he placed his finger over her lips to shush her and both gazed into each other eyes deeply.

“Your problem is mine too, Angel, and who told you that I’m suffering? Until you’re with me, I don’t want anything. Your presence is enough for me, Angel. You know, last night I slept peacefully in your arms, forgetting about everything. I love you.” He kissed her forehead. “I love you so much.” He whispered against her forehead and placed one more kiss there before taking her in his warm arms. She smiled contentedly after coming in his strong arms.

“By the way, I have thought something in these three days.” As he uttered in a serious tone, she looked at him with worried eyes.

“What?” She asked anxiously.

His lips parted as he took a breath before speaking, “I’m thinking to,” he paused for a few seconds and her heart was thumping, because he was increasing the tension. “We can adopt the baby,” he finally told her and she widened her eyes in shock. His sudden decision shocked her.

“Why? Can we never have our baby? But the doctor said that we can have the baby in future.” Her breath was becoming heavy because of tension.

“Angel, just relax, we can have our baby in future and we’ll have.” He clasped her face and as he told her, she sighed with relief.

He continued, “You know, yesterday I visited an orphanage and spend time with them. I realised after seeing them that there are so many children in this world who need parents. I thought why can’t we adopt a baby and give happiness to one of those children. I know we can’t become parents of all the children, but at least we can become the parents of one of them. I really want to do this for us, for that one kid.” His eyes were sparkling with excitement when he was telling her about his plan. She was gazing at him silently and incredulously.

“Say something, if you don’t want it, it’s okay,” he assumed.

She shook her head. “I’m just wondering if all people think like you and as good as you, then there will be no orphan kid in this world. You’re a gem, Sid. I fall in love with you every day and you make me feel so lucky to have you.” He was smiling sheepishly, and she was smiling proudly to have a husband like him who is not only a great husband, who is also a great human being. She was proud of her husband’s thinking.

“But still you didn’t tell me that you’re ready for it or not?” He asked nervously.

“Of course, I’m ready, Mr Perfect. The baby will complete us. We’ll accept the baby with our whole heart and always love him like our own baby. He will be our first baby and therefore, I think, we will love him more than our second baby.” She chuckled.

They both beamed at each other and their eyes were shimmering with happiness like that day when they had come to know that Shehnaaz is pregnant. Today also, they were equally happy and excited because they were again going to become parents, very soon.

The difference was that before Shehnaaz was going to give birth to their baby and now, they were going to bring their baby to home from the orphanage who needed parents, family, love and shelter. They were going to give a new life to a kid by becoming his parents. The kid would be so lucky to have such great parents.

The relationships which made by the heart are stronger than the blood relationships.

“I’m also lucky to have you, Angel. You’re as nice as me. You always support me in my every decision. I love you,” he confessed and sealed her lips with his.
