Manik woke up at 4 am and his brows creased when he doesn’t find Nandini in his arms.

He clasped her face and said, gazing into her eyes deeply. “How I became so lucky that God sent a girl like you into my life who is fearless and a fighter and who is so beautiful, so strong, so sassy, so bold, so hot and who can vanish away my all fear and pain instantly just like a magic. I’m really so blessed to have you. Really a person like me doesn’t deserve you.” She has a constant smile on her face but listening to his last few words, her smile faded into a frown.
“Shut up.” She shouted cutting his words.
She chided him. “Don’t say that you don’t deserve me. You came in front of me two times to take the bullet which is going to hit me and you’re saying you don’t deserve me. The guy who doesn’t think about himself even for a second before dying for me, if that guy doesn’t deserve me, then nobody deserves me.”
“I’m a dangerous man, Nandini.” He said in a serious tone.
“You know that I’m not afraid of any danger.” She murmured after coming close to his face.
“There are so many enemies of me who are behind me and now they all are behind you because of me. I want to keep you forever with me, but you aren’t safe until you’re with me,”
She asked in angry tone, cutting his words. “What do you mean?”
“Let me complete my words. I know I’m dangerous for you but still, I’m ready to become selfish to stay with you because I feel alive with you and I want to feel alive every day before I die. Now I can’t live a life without a soul, I don’t want to die again from inside before dying in real. Now I can’t even imagine going back to my earlier life where you weren’t with me. It wasn’t life, it was like I’m fighting a battle every day. I was just trying to become stronger so that no one can defeat me, but from inside I was empty and powerless. I was afraid to show my soft side because I didn’t want anybody to take advantage of me. But with you, I’m not scared to be who really I’m. This is the real me, the person who wants to live a normal life with his girlfriend. I want to spend this holidays with you like a normal person, no fear, no work. On this holiday, I’m not a Mafia Boss, I’m just your Manik.”
Now she just became speechless with his true confession. She encircled her arms around his neck and raised her heels, gazing at him fondly. “I love you.” She whispered against his lips before capturing them, standing on her toes.
